(we represent) The Cheese Guild

5 Dec

Today, in Oakland, I was lucky enough to get to taste, appreciate, learn about and photograph some truly special and hand crafted cheeses at the Artisan Cheese Guild’s holiday party.

The California Artisan Cheese Guild is an organization designed to support and encourage the California cheesemaking community. This is accomplished by supporting the on-going education of cheesemakers and consumers, sharing resources, and celebrating the art and dedication to quality cheese.

The Guild Celebrates Cheese
* Aromas rich in the essence of California’s carefully tended fields and farms.
* Textures created in the finest cheese, made from the finest milk.
* Tastes so complex and unique, they can only come from California:
o The tangy brightness of goat-milk cheese
o The sweet fullness of cow-milk cheese
o The nutty, buttery richness of sheep-milk cheese
o The sweet creaminess of water buffalo-milk cheese
